It was short, which is good. By the time I got to the doorway, it was pretty much over (it only lasted about 10 seconds here, although I read it lasted a minute in San Jose). To be honest, I would have been pretty scared if it had lasted longer.
Thank god all the beautiful people survived! We can't afford to lose a single one (oh, and I'd guesstimate it at about 15 or 20 seconds...not much longer than that.)
