From a report on the Beeb:
People who drank more than seven cups of instant coffee a day were three times more likely to hallucinate than those who took just one, a study found.See, this is why Fosco's prefers to get his energy from cocaine.

I am confused by the "instant" condition of the coffee. As opposed to properly-ground coffee from beans?
Either way, I feel like I'm getting ripped off...I drink more coffee than Andre Malraux (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Malraux), but I have YET to hallucinate.
Yeah, I am puzzled by that part too. Do the Brits not brew their coffee (preferring the convenience of something like Taster's Choice)? And if that's the case, I wonder if these results would be different for coffee that is prepared appropriately.
Are you sure you haven't hallucinated yet? Maybe it was just really vivid...
Oz has seen plenty of brown fairies... although that is normal in the bay area.
